dogs Group

Terrier

Breeds developed to locate and dispatch vermin and small game, often in tight spaces.

Why this group exists

Terriers were designed for determination—small dogs expected to commit to the job, whether that meant digging, squeezing into burrows, or staying persistent around pests. Different regions produced different sizes and coats, but the core “fearless worker” blueprint stayed the same. That’s why many terriers still feel bold, busy, and hard to ignore.
