Hound

Breeds developed for hunting by following scent trails or spotting prey at distance.

Why this group exists

Hounds were built for pursuit, not for constant check-ins. Scent hounds were selected for stamina and nose-first problem solving, while sighthounds were shaped for speed and visual tracking. That hunting legacy still shows up as independence, strong sensory focus, and a tendency to follow what they notice.
